Free Bookmark to Make

A Free Bookmark to Make with Your Kids

What you will need to make the free bookmark:
1. A small piece of thick card
2. Scraps of red and black construction card (or felt)
3. Glue
4. Scissors
5. Knife (for adult to use!)

To make our free bookmark, first of all, out of your thick card, cut the base of the bookmark, using the pattern below (click on it to get a printable version!). The dark bit shaped like a long U needs to be cut out with a knife, an adult should do this

Next, cut out the shapes below (click to print again) for your bookmark from the BLACK card or felt. The pattern shows you how many of each shape you need.

Cut a circle out of your red card, about the size of the pattern below when you click on it:

The photo below shows what all your pieces will look like when they are cut out:

Now assemble your ladybug bookmark by sticking the legs, head and dots to the red circle. The legs should be glued to the bottom of the ladybug so they stick out at the sides, like in the picture below.

Clip your ladybug bookmark to the page in your book and never lose your place again!
